A fly in the ointment

July 8, 2014 at 8:03 PM

Well we had hoped to close the sale of the house this coming Friday but due our lawyer needing to be in court at the same time, we now need to close next Monday. An extra few days before we are done. We had thought that we could perhaps do the paperwork on Thursday but their lawyer hasn't forwarded any paperwork over to our lawyer yet. Deep sigh...However, being retired has allowed us to adopt a zen outlook which will gets through this minor inconvenience.
Tomorrow evening we take the last of our food, dry goods and canned stuff over to the food bank and do the packing for our trip to BC. We will be taking care of my sister's cats for a few days at the end of July in Vancouver while she is working on business  in Toronto. It sounds like I'll be stressed by this gig - will probably require me to open a can or two of cat food and shovel out the litter box. Not enough to make me want to go back to work...

Hi Roberta, He was sent an invitation last night. Could you ask him to confirm his e-mail by sending me an e-mail to mikesalter@live.com? Tom gave me the address so it is probably wrong. (Miss me yet Tom?) Mike
Litter boxes. Plural. Now who's stressed?
Good luck to both of you. Xox
